The Municipality of the County of Annapolis is inviting applications for 2 Summer Recreation Interns. The interns plan and assist with the delivery, promotion and development of recreation programs and services in the County of Annapolis. The position requires individuals who enjoy physical activity, sport and/or recreation. Interns will plan and deliver of a variety of events and recreational activities for all ages and demographics within the county. Successful candidates’ must be able to work flexible hours, have strong organizational skills, the ability to work in a team and independently, and the ability to work well with youth and adults in different outdoor and indoor settings.

Qualifications:

• High energy individual with a positive outlook and the passion with experience in planning and delivering recreational/physical programs, events & activities.
• Experience in performing research, report writing and social media required.
• Academic experience in Recreation or those working towards a certificate, diploma, degree in a Recreation/Community Development or Kinesiology or Tourism; or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience may also be considered.
• Use of a reliable vehicle.

 Successful applicants must provide Child Abuse Registry Check and a Vulnerable Sector Security Check, WHMIS 2015 certification and First Aid / CPR certification.
