PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING - Cornwallis Park Planning Area Secondary Planning Strategy & Land Use Bylaw Text Amendments Application

Cornwallis Park Planning Area Secondary Planning Strategy & Land Use Bylaw Text Amendments Application - 231 Spinnaker Drive, Cornwallis Park (PID 05210745) 

TAKE NOTICE that that the Municipality of the County of Annapolis has received an application to amend the texts of the Cornwallis Park Land Use Bylaw and Secondary Planning Strategy to allow Public Use in the Light Industrial (IND) zone and the Industrial (IND) Designation respectively. This application will enable the conversion of an existing building at 231 Spinnaker Drive (PID 05210745) into a secondary fire station (substation) for the Bear River Volunteer Fire Department.

The proposed amendments will also allow Public Use on all other properties within the Light Industrial (IND) zone and Industrial (IND) Designation of the Cornwallis Park Planning Area.


Two Public Information Meeting (PIM) sessions to inform residents of the Cornwallis Park Planning Area about the application will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Details of the Public Information Meeting can be found below. The intent of the meeting is to present the amendments and receive early responses from the public.

PIM Sessions (February 25, 2026)
Session 1: 2:00 pm
Session 2: 5:00 pm

In the event of a cancellation due to a storm, the PIM will be held on Tuesday, March 03, 2026, at 2pm & 5pm.

A copy of the application may also be viewed by visiting the Municipal Administration Building, 752 St. George St, Annapolis Royal or weekdays, except public holidays, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm or Municipal Satellite Office, 291 Marshall Street - Unit 4, Middleton, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, except public holidays.
