Court hearing on Charges from Nova Scotia Department of Environment
Charges from Department of Environment have not been properly served on Annapolis County.
At the hearing today the Judge agreed that Department of Nova Scotia Environment had not properly served Annapolis County. New court date set for July 22, 2020.
Even if an alleged stop work order had been issued from NSE it had not been properly served in accordance with the Municipal Government Act.
Annapolis County respects the legislated authority including Ministerial orders authorized by legislation. The limitations in the Environment Act regarding the office of the Minister shall not be exceeded by any individual who sits in the capacity of the Minister’s office.
