RECREATION SUMMER INTERN POSITIONS (Annapolis County and Community of Bridgetown)

Annapolis County Recreation Interns 

The County of Annapolis is inviting applications for the 2 positions of Recreation Intern – Annapolis County and Bridgetown. This is a term position (May 22, 2018 to August 31, 2018). Rate of Pay:  $15.66/hr.

Duties: The Recreation Intern assists the Recreation & Programs Officer and the Recreation Special Projects Officer with the delivery, promotion and development of all recreation programs and services in Annapolis County and the community of Bridgetown.

Qualifications: Applicant must be a student working towards a diploma, certificate or degree in a Recreation/Community Development, or Kinesiology, or Tourism; or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience will be considered. Must be able to work flexible hours, ability to work in a team and independently, ability to work well with youth and adults, use of a reliable vehicle. Computer skills required such as Word, Excel, and knowledge of social media. 

Successful applicants must provide a Criminal Record Background Check, Child Abuse Registry Check or Vulnerable Sector Security Check, valid driver’s license and current WHMIS 2015 certification.
